Ooey Goey-ing in Bunny Baker

Oh, if only I write as much and as fast as I eat!

As most of my friends know, I can basically skip all the rice in the world but NEVER the dessert! And I am always looking for the next best dessert place.

So last Tuesday, I was finally able to try this little piece of dessert heaven in the topmost floor of a new building along Hemady in Quezon City. The first reaction of my friend was, "who would go up at the topmost floor just to have coffee?" Well, we did. And so did a lot of youngsters and families who were in the cafe when we got in.

Calling it self as Bunny Baker, dessert place serves eye catching cakes and pastries that even those who are  following the strictest diets cannot resist. Everything in the cafe is just cute--from the pastries to the set up, to the bunny ear chairs and the fondant cakes.

Cute set up that I am sure little girls and little girls at heart would love!

My friend and I ordered the infamous Ooey Goey--a huge chocolate cookie, baked for thirty minutes and wonderfully topped with salted caramel ice cream!  The staff advised us that it will take that long and would constantly update us regarding the remaining minutes before serving.  When the order arrived, it was  heaven, I tell you. Soft on the inside but a bit toasted on the outside. And the salted caramel ice cream was to die for! It was quite too sweet, if you eat it on its own, but since I drink black coffee, it was a good complement to the diabetes-inducing sweetness.

30 minutes to prepare, but totally worth the wait, the OOEY GOEY!

The staff were very kind and they even offered  us samples of their other ice cream. I specially loved the Mexican chocolate. The spicy chocolate just feels so good in the mouth.

Yes, we will go back for the ice cream :)
