Malaysian Culinary Experience

I have always loved culture. Not the high brow way of looking at it, but really, culture that is experienced. So, whenever I travel, I make sure I ride the the local mode of transportation, I walk on the streets at night, I visit museums (after all, nothing beats the  side stories curators tell you during tours (sometimes like it more than the actual cultural story), and I eat the local food. Hawker food.
So, last month's Kuala Lumpur trip gave me the opportunity to have a taste of authentic lemaks and curries and so much more!

First meal in Malaysia--Nasi Lemak and Malaysian Kopi
at the Amway KL Office. The Amway cafeteria is in itself amazing, and cheap.

The seafood salad is just gorgeous! All fresh!

Trying Tiger at China Town;)

Random local rice cakes. This is very Asian.

Hotel breakfast

Authentic Bubur Cha Cha (This basically means porridge in Malay.
It contains sweet potatoes, tapioca pearls, yam, taro, in coconut milk. Here is a link to the recipe if you must try)

This beef curry from Madam Kwan's had me running to the toilets after, but it was so worth it.
